FAQs
All You Need To Know
Do you rent manual bikes, too?
No, electric bicycles help you see more of the island in less time. There are other rental shops on the island that rent manual bikes.
Do you do men's and women's bikes?
No, we have a fleet of all unisex bikes. The seat height can be adjusted to fit most heights.
Am I too short to ride your bikes?
We don't have an exact min/max rider height as the ability to safely ride our bikes depends on a couple of variables such as leg length, cycling confidence, and seat height preference. We can only suggest you try on the day.
What is your minimum age?
The minimum age that we rent our bikes to is 18 years old. This is for safety reasons.
How long do the batteries last?
Our batteries last an average of 3-4 days depending on the assistance level used and how much you are using them. You can monitor a gauge on the display which shows you the level of charge you have.
How do I recharge my battery?
When you notice your battery is close to running out of charge, pop us a call and we will come straight out to you with a replacement battery so your day is interrupted as little as possible. We do not provide you with chargers for the batteries for safety reasons. There is no extra charge for this service.
What if I get a puncture?
If you're unlucky enough to get a puncture, just give us a call and we will come straight out to you with a replacement bike. Rather than repairing your bike for you there, you can then continue with your day. You will not lose your deposit for a puncture, nor is there any extra call-out charge.
How can I find you from where the tractor bus stops?
Luckily, we are located only a couple of metres away from where the tractor bus or 'toast rack' drops everyone off. Just look out for our orange signs next to the power station or opposite the pub.
Do you accept both cash and card?
Yes, we do. We have a card machine and till in the shop so how you pay is up to you.
How long does it take for my deposit to be refunded?
When you return, we always do a quick check of all the bikes in your booking to ensure everything is in good condition. After this, we can go ahead and refund cash deposits straight away but card deposits can take 1-3 business days to return to your account. Because of this, we are more than happy to take a separate cash deposit, even if you want to pay for the rental charge by card.
